Dr. Romy Chopra graduated with distinction from the prestigious University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Chopra completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Chopra is a compassionate, enthusiastic person with a great sense of humour. He brings these traits to his passion for dentistry and his treatment of patients of all ages. Since graduation, Dr Chopra strives to provide the best treatment he can provide his patients. This can be seen in the varied continuing education courses he has completed, including Invisalign © (clear braces) and Lumineers © (veneers).
When not being dental, or even when he is chairside, you can always talk to Dr. Chopra about all things sports. In addition to playing hockey and baseball (since he was 6 years old!), Dr. Chopra proudly sponsors a number of children’s league sports in the area.
Dr. David Bernhard has been practicing dentistry for over 34 years. But unlike other long-standing practices, Dr. Bernhard has focused intensively on the practice of implant dentistry.
Dr. Bernhard studied studio art at Arizona State University and art history at the University of Arizona prior to attending University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
He practiced dentistry in the San Francisco Bay area for seven years prior to settling in Toronto.
In addition to providing restorative and prosthetic dentistry throughout his career; for nearly twenty years he has been restoring smiles with surgical and restorative implant treatment. Dr. Bernhard completed a yearlong course in implant dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Toronto and has and continues to attend advanced courses in the subject.
He has been a part time instructor in restorative and prosthetic dentistry at the faculty for twenty years, and presently teaches surgical and restorative implant dentistry in the Oral Reconstruction Clinic at the faculty.
Dr. Bernhard is the father of two university students. He continues to pursue the arts through photography and sculpture. He also enjoys playing guitar and gardening.
Dr. Matthew Chuk graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours in Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Minor in Psychology. He then went on to obtain his Masters of Science in Molecular Biology at the Terrence Donnelly Center for Cellular and Biomedical Research in the heart of the University of Toronto campus. After publishing several well-reviewed papers and a textbook, Dr. Chuk graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. He has won the prestige Xi Psi Phi Bone and Devo Award and the American General Dentistry Association Senior Student Award. He is a licensed Dentist through the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and a member of the Canadian and Ontario Dental Association.
He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves working with patients. He enjoys teaching patients about their oral health and his personal philosophy is that an educated patient is a happy patient. Dr. Chuk not only enjoys teaching, but also has a passion for learning and continues his education by attending courses and seminars on the latest methods and research in the field of dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Chuk is also an amateur photographer, animal-lover and enjoys painting.
A long time Markham resident, Denise has worked as a Dental Hygienist for over 20 years. She has a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Georgian College, and is a member of The Ontario Dental Hygienists Association. Denise makes sure to stay up to date on all the latest information and techniques in the market by participating regularly in continuing education. She prides herself on being thorough yet gentle.
Denise also works at the front desk reception, meaning her smile will be your first point of contact when you visit our office!
Denise has two grown sons, and in her free time enjoys photography, travelling and gourmet cooking.
Laura obtained her Dental degree from the Medical University of Kazakstan, Faculty of Dentistry. On her arrival in Canada, she received her Level II Dental Assistant Certificate from Medix College. Laura is a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association and takes continuing education regularly to stay current on he latest developments in the industry.
Laura has a son and a daughter and loves spending time with her family when she is not working.
